KILU Seminar: Deep-Learning Powered Protein Design for Sustainability
The Department of Chemistry welcomes you an open lecture.
At the KILU-seminars preeminent scientists present their work in a chemistry wide setting. The seminar series provides an opportunity to learn about exciting current research.
In addition, it is an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and discuss science with colleagues from all around KILU and beyond.
Speaker
Dr. Amijai Saragovi, CMPS, The Department of Chemistry
Topic
Deep-Learning Powered Protein Design for Sustainability
Deep learning–powered de novo protein design now enables the creation of high-affinity protein–protein interfaces, small-molecule and ion binders with atomic specificity, and advanced hybrid materials. In my talk, I will explore how these tools are being used to develop next-generation protein-derived applications for sustainability and green technology.
Time and place
September 30 at 15:15-16:00 in lecture hall B at Kemicentrum.
Coffee and cake is served from 15:00 outside lecture hall B - on a first come, first serve basis.
Welcome!
