The Centre for Analysis and Synthesis is working with research questions that are fundamental in their nature and can contribute to a more sustainable future. Important research areas are health, smart materials, energy, green chemistry and environmental chemistry.

Our core competences are within molecular design and synthesis, organic and inorganic material synthesis, chemical analysis and structure and morphology analysis, both in solution and the solid state.

Education

At the Centre for Analysis and Synthesis, courses are offered for both the Bachelor of Science program in Chemistry and the engineering programs at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH). We teach core subjects in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry from undergraduate to doctoral level. As a student, you also have the opportunity to complete your thesis within one of CAS's research areas
