Docent lecture: The Chemistry Behind Energy Storage
Welcome to the docent lecture by Dmitry Baranov: “The Chemistry Behind Energy Storage”.
Abstract
The world is full of energy. It is stored in chemical bonds and atomic nuclei, and carried by electromagnetic radiation, among other forms. Converting this energy into forms useful to humans has required generations of scientific and technological effort. Chemistry has been one of the central tools that makes this conversion possible. In this lecture, Dmitry Baranov will discuss the chemistry behind energy storage, focusing on one of its most portable and versatile realizations: batteries.
