Research at The Centre for Applied Life Sciences is mainly applied, focusing on some of the most important issues of today and tomorrow, such as sustainability, the environment, renewable resources and health. Within these areas, we work on issues such as clean water, recycling, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, new products, improved bioanalysis and healthy food and healthy feed. Much of the research benefits society through new products and technologies.

At the Centre for Applied Life Sciences, courses are mainly given within the Master’s programmes in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Ecosystem Engineering at Lund University. As a student, you have the opportunity to do your degree project in one of the research areas at the Centre for Applied Life Sciences.
