Staffan Hansen

I received my PhD at Lund University in 1985. During 1986-87 I was a post doctor at Arizona State University. In 2002, I was promoted to professor in Inorganic Chemistry at Lund University and served as head of division during the years 2002-2006.


The main methods I have used to study the materials listed below are: Single crystal x-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, x-ray powder diffraction and x-ray absorption spectroscopy.

Silicates: Zeolites (JBW, GIS) and smectites (swelling clay minerals).

Oxide catalysts: Molybdenum oxides, Y-Ba-Cu-oxides (perovskites), solid solutions involving SbVO4 (rutiles), TeOVMo2O9 (hexagonal bronzes) or FeVO4.

Minerals: Bergslagite, pinakiolite, harmotome, ferrierite, childrenite, millisite, hurlbutite.

Industrial and synthetic cements: calcium silicates, aluminates, sulfates, phosphates.
